Dear Lily,

Mine and Brett's 2 year old niece passed away yesterday. Hearing this sort shocking news can send you into a questioning of life and what should be truly valued. Seeing a life taken at so young of an age is too hard for words to comfort. But I think that as family gathers together, hugs become emotional band aids, tears shared become healing waters, and prayers become the medicine to help heal those wounds. Knowing that our Savior is there to lift us up when we can't get up ourselves, that is the ultimate healing power, the eternal truths of the gospel. I often use writing to help me when words are too hard to say, and I have something special to write in regards to our dear little Lily.
